Company Enrichment
With Company Enrichment, Brainner automatically gathers detailed information about every past employer on a candidate's CV and uses it to improve the quality of the analysis. The recruiter sees the enriched data alongside the resume, and the engine factors it in when evaluating any requirement that depends on where the candidate worked before.
Availability
Company Enrichment is available on Business and Enterprise plans.
Setup
No configuration required. The feature is active by default on eligible accounts and runs automatically when a role is analyzed.
How it works
Company Enrichment is powered by a dedicated agent inside Brainner's analysis engine. The agent runs only when a requirement actually needs information about the candidate's past employers. Examples:
- "Experience at a Series B or later startup."
- "Worked at a company with more than 500 employees."
- "Background in healthcare, fintech, or another specific industry."
- "Experience working in B2b SaaS companies."
For requirements that can be answered from the CV alone, the agent stays idle. This keeps analysis focused and response times fast.
To identify the right companies and pull accurate data, Brainner uses the candidate's LinkedIn URL when available.
💡 Recommendation: We strongly recommend collecting the candidate's LinkedIn URL in your application form. When Brainner has the LinkedIn profile, the enriched company data is 100% accurate. Without it, matching relies on the company names as written in the CV, which can be ambiguous (for example, two different companies sharing a similar name).
What information is enriched
For each past employer, Brainner surfaces:
- Industry
- Company size (number of employees)
- Website and Linkedin URL
- Headquarters and locations
- Funding rounds and funding stage
- Year founded and company type
- Business details
- News and other relevant context when available
This data appears in the candidate view, next to the work experience, and is also fed into the analysis engine when it evaluates requirements that depend on employer characteristics.
Source-anchored justifications
Every requirement justification is linked to the source it's based on. When a conclusion comes from the CV, the justification points to the specific section of the resume. When it's based on enriched company data, it points to the external source. One click takes you from the evaluation to the evidence behind it, with no manual verification needed.
What this means for your workflow
Before Company Enrichment, requirements like "worked at a mid-market SaaS company" or "experience at a Series B or later startup" required the recruiter to open each employer in a new tab and verify the fit manually. Now:
- The engine answers those requirements automatically, with sourced evidence.
- You see the company context next to the resume, without leaving Brainner.
- The time you used to spend researching companies goes back into the parts of the process that need your judgment.

No. It's enabled by default on Business and Enterprise plans.
Company Enrichment applies to all new analyses from the moment the feature is enabled on your account. Previously analyzed candidates are not re-processed automatically, but if you re-analyze them, they will include the enriched data.
Brainner will attempt to enrich the companies based on the names in the CV, but accuracy drops when company names are ambiguous or very common. To get the full benefit of the feature, we recommend making the LinkedIn URL field required or strongly encouraged in your application form.
In the candidate detail view, within the resume, and as sourced evidence inside the requirement justifications.
No. The agent only runs when a requirement needs it, and company lookups are cached, so repeat analyses are faster.
