Supervises all daily operations, including personnel, logistics, and inventory within the warehouse, in accordance with Company policies and safety regulations.
Principal duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise inbound and outbound warehouse operations to guarantee accurate inventory tracking of all products entering and leaving the warehouse
• Verify that warehouse operations adhere to standards, practices, and procedures related to food safety, health and safety, sanitation, storage, maintenance, and security.
• Ensure compliance to proper inventory Management practices inclusive of inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Supervise warehouse staff inclusive of task assignments, training, coaching, communicating expectations and performance management.
• Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and productivity by tracking rack key performance indicators (KPI5) across various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order picking accuracy, fulfilment accuracy, labour productivity space utilization and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
• Coordinate activities and inventory transfer between warehouses and other departments
• Comply and promote the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Food Safety and other policies established by the Company.
Key deliverables
• Ensure the application of quality, safety, sanitation, storage and security standards,
practices and procedures for the warehouse.
• Conduct weekly and monthly physical stock counts on all items in the raw materials
warehouse, investigate variances and prepare required reports.
• Ensure that all transactions are supported by required documentation.
• Ensure that stock is rotated in accordance with established procedures
• Ensure that team members follow General Manufacturing Practices.
General Requirements
Diploma in Inventory and Warehouse Management
An equivalent combination of Inventory Management experience or related training
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory role
6. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Knowledge of warehousing fundamentals, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
· Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
· Knowledge of Microsoft AX Dynamics system would be considered an asset
· Ability to lead, support and provide training/coaching to direct reports.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent time-management, planning and organizational skills.
