Responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse by verifying incoming and outgoing products, performing physical counts, and ensuring proper storage of goods.
Principal duties and Responsibilities
Receiving and stocking inventory: Checking incoming inventory receipts against supporting documents, verifying quantities and quality standards.
Issuing Inventory: Checking outgoing inventory against pick list, sales orders and delivery notes by verifying quantities and quality standards.
Data verification and investigations: Reviewing entered data against source documents to identify and correct errors.
Inventory cycle and periodic counting: Regularly performing physical counts of stock to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory levels.
HSE & Food Safety: Comply and promote the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Food Safety and other company policies established by the Company
Key deliverables
·Validation of inventory movements – physical goods against documentation
Ensures goods are delivered in accordance with acceptable quality standards
Supports inventory accuracy by ensuring proper rotations and performing inventory counts
General Requirements
At least 5 CSEC passes
At least 1 year experience in a similar role or warehousing environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong attention to detail
Numerical skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and reconciliation.
Physical ability: Lifting and moving boxes or other inventory items.
Communication skills: Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
Knowledge of warehousing and stores inventory management would be an asset.
