Principal Accountabilities / Key Functions:

·       Conduct qualitative and quantitative evaluation of incoming raw and packaging materials to ensure quality and food safety standards are satisfied.

·       Ensure that good warehousing practices and procedures are adhered to by providing feedback on storage and handling. 

·       Prepare and submit ingredient samples for testing to external laboratories.

·       Assist with the evaluation of raw and packaging materials (alternate and new).

·       Audit the Incoming Materials Warehouses and follow up on implementation of appropriate corrective actions.

·       Ensure compliance to water monitoring programme and recommend improvements.

·       Support and facilitate the investigation, reporting, resolution and trending of non-conformances related to raw and packaging materials.

·       Prepare and circulate reports on Incoming Materials (Raw and Packaging).

·       Assist in review and compliance to the Company’s Supplier, Traceability, Allergen and other relevant programmes.

·       Assist with the development and review of procedures, SOPs and test methods for Quality.

·       Maintain and update the master list, electronic folder and manual for documents (policies, SOPs, forms etc. for food safety and quality) as well as assign document numbers.

·       Ensure adequate stock of reagents and consumables for performance of job-related task.

·       Request as required repairs and calibration for laboratory equipment used for the performance of the job.

·       Identify and report real and potential issues and non-conformances and suggest possible solutions.

·       Understand and adhere to the Company’s established good manufacturing practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Quality requirements.

·       Actively promote, support and comply with Kiss Baking Company Limited’s established Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures ad industry best practices.

·       Performs any other job-related duties as directed by Supervisor/Manager

Required Technical Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Minimum

·       Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related field.

Certification:

Minimum

·       N/A

Experience:

Minimum

  • One (1) year experience in Quality Assurance/Management

Required Skills:

·       Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions in a timely manner.

·       Intermediate/advance competency in MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook

·       QA experience in a food manufacturing environment.

·       Good analytical thinker and problem solver.

·       Excellent oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Flexible team player who can prioritize effectively and co-ordinate multiple concurrent projects.

·       Understanding of the basic principles of baking will be an asset

·       Innovative problem-solver who can generate ideas
