SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will: -

•Ensure established production performance standards are achieved and maintained on assigned shift.

•Provide oversight for the entire operating facility during the periods when the other management personnel are not onsite.

•Assist with personnel actions related to employee welfare and manage industrial relations issues in consultation with the Human Resources Manager and Production Manager.

•Assist with the maintenance of sanitation and hygiene standards in accordance with statutory requirements.

•Prepare monthly reports on the status of specially assigned key performance indicators.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management or Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution.

• Three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory level position in a manufacturing environment.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and writing

• Excellent time management skills

• Sound knowledge of production/industrial management fundamentals, practices and processes

• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

•  Working knowledge of safety policies and procedures required for a production environment

•  Ability to lead and motivate team

•  Ability to execute on a timely basis while meeting and exceeding targets
