Job Summary

The Projects Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution and successful delivery of engineering and facilities-related projects within defined scope, budget and schedule. The role ensures adherence to safety, quality and regulatory standards while supporting operational efficiency improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, execute and monitor engineering projects.

  2. Develop CAPEX proposals, budgets, schedules and risk assessments.

  3. Supervise contractors and ensure HSSE compliance.

  4. Engage stakeholders to align project objectives and deliverables.

  5. Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements

  6. Conduct feasibility studies and ensure technical standards are met.

  7. Engage stakeholders and manage expectations.

  8. Prepare reports, documentation and project updates.

  9. Prepare engineering reports, purchase orders, CAPEX submissions and payment documentation.

  10. Ensure compliance with QA/QC, statutory and regulatory standards.

  11. Support facilities operations and resolve major issues.

  12. Participate in safety and planning meetings.

  13. Conduct post-project analysis and capture lessons learned.

Education

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

  2. PMP or equivalent Project Management certification would strengthen candidate pool.

Experience

  1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Projects Engineering role.

  2. Experience in manufacturing, engineering or facilities management projects.

  3. Exposure to electromechanical systems and construction-related projects.

  4. Experience in preparing CAPEX, budgets, risk assessments and reports.

  5. Familiarity with maintenance systems and engineering standards

Skills & Competencies

  1. Strong project management skills

  2. Analytical and problem-solving ability

  3. Excellent communication and reporting skills

  4. Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards

  5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  6. AutoCAD and MS Project (preferred)
