1.      Job Summary

To reduce downtime and improve process and equipment reliability to ensure performance targets are achieved

 2.      Principal duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute and support autonomous maintenance routines including cleaning, inspecting and basic lubrication, abnormality detection, basic condition restoration, visual controls and tracker updates, and machine adjustments

  • Support and execute change-over process by pre-staging of tools/parts/materials, analysis for improvement, optimization and update standards, and auditing of execution

  • Support production and quality with in-process checks related to equipment performance and defects or process optimization

  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment and process problems.

  • Collaborate and support maintenance teams with planned maintenance activities ensuring equipment is safe, clean and accessible

  • Communicate and participate in effective shift handover for continued process and equipment reliability

  • Conduct regular predictive checks (visual, mechanical, and basic condition-based monitoring) to detect early signs of wear or failure.

  • Monitor key equipment indicators and trends (e.g., abnormal noise, vibration, temperature, or performance changes).

  • Communicate findings clearly and assist in planning corrective actions.

  • Assist with the technical development of the production teams

  • Provide relief coverage for packaging operators as required

  • Comply and promote the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Food Safety and other company policies established by the Company.

  3.      General Requirements

  • At least PPO, MET, EEET or MIC Technician’s Diploma

  • A degree would be considered an asset

  • Two (2) years working experience in a maintenance or production environment in a manufacturing industry will be considered an asset

4.      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of root cause analysis

  • Ability to be analytical yet quick acting

  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders and provide excellent customer service

  • Willingness to rotate in a three (3) eight-hour shift system

  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
