KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive, inspect, and record incoming spare parts and supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
Issue spare parts to technicians and other departments as required.
Monitor stock levels and initiate reorders to prevent shortages.
Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of parts.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Organize and label storage areas for easy identification and access.
Prepare reports on inventory status, using trends, and procurement needs.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in handling and storing parts.
Assist in the disposal or return of obsolete or defective items.
Ensure that proper rotation of stock is observed especially for perishable items.
Ensure that stock items are stored as per specifications
Maintain a “critical items” list.
Maintain a monthly stock usage report for analysis and improved purchasing cycles
Ensure that all parts removed after working hours are accounted for and updated promptly on a daily basis.
Liaise with suppliers to get quotes and place orders of spares inventory and other miscellaneous operational items
Track the movement of all orders
Liaise with the Logistics Officer regarding incoming and outgoing shipments
Duties listed above are not exhaustive and you will be required to perform other related duties within the Company as a whole.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A sound secondary education at least 5 CXC passes including English Language & Mathematics. Tertiary level education would be an asset.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Previous logistics and asset management experience would be an asset
Computer literacy to an advance level
Excellent written and oral communication
Must be well organized and attentive to detail
Must be a self-starter who is task oriented
Must have good interpersonal skills
