Lead and further develop the General Ledger, Retail Accounting, and Consolidation & Reporting teams

Ensure the proper preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB at both entity and group level

Manage and ensure an efficient and timely closing process

Oversee journal entries, accruals, provisions and period-end closing postings

Ensure high quality of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies

Take responsibility for intercompany reconciliations and consolidation processes

Ensure compliance with IFRS, HGB and internal policies and control systems

Coordinate and support internal and external audits

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting or taxation

Additional qualification (e.g. certified accountant) is an advantage

Several years of professional experience in a comparable leadership role in an international, process-driven environment

Strong expertise in general ledger accounting, consolidation and the record-to-report process

Very good knowledge of IFRS and HGB

Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools

Strong Excel and analytical skills

Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

Experience with shared service center environment is a plus
