The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing and supporting the company’s mechanical and electrical plant and equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. The role requires strong technical aptitude, strict adherence to GMP, Food Safety and HSE standards, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and repairs on mechanical and electrical plant and equipment
Troubleshoot and rectify equipment faults in accordance with approved standards and procedures
Install, test, repair, maintain and modify plant and equipment
Diagnose recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
Calibrate process control equipment and maintain calibration records
Assist with the design and modification of plant and equipment
Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, logs and records
Perform basic welding and machine shop works as required
Maintain cleanliness of work areas in accordance with Food Safety Authority standards
Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices at all times
Observe and comply with all HSE rules, policies, procedures and legislative requirements
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when required
Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures
Perform other related duties assigned by management
Education
Minimum five (5) O’ Level passes
MET, EEET or MIC Technician Diploma
Experience
Between 3 - 5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment within a manufacturing industry
Ability and flexibility to work varying schedules and shifts
Certification (Asset)
