Job Summary

To transform data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization. The role develops, automates and maintains reporting systems, dashboards, and analytical tools that provide visibility into key performance indicators across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, finance, quality, HR, and HSE functions. By analyzing trends, identifying opportunities, and uncovering root causes of performance gaps, the analyst enables leaders to improve productivity, profitability, service levels, and overall business performance. The position plays a critical role in driving a data-driven culture, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that timely, accurate, and meaningful information is available to guide business decisions.

Principal duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, automate, maintain, and continuously improve dashboards, reports, and scorecards that provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Quality, HR, and HSE.

  • Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyze data from multiple business systems to ensure data integrity and consistency in reporting.

  • Monitor and analyze key business performance indicators, identify trends, highlight performance gaps, and recommend opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide analytical support for manufacturing performance, including productivity, utilization, downtime, yield, waste, capacity, labor efficiency, and schedule adherence.

  • Support supply chain optimization through analysis of inventory levels, stock turns, procurement spend, supplier performance, forecasting accuracy, warehousing, and distribution metrics.

  • Analyze sales and marketing performance by product, customer, channel, market, and profitability to support revenue growth and margin improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost management, and business case evaluations.

  • Partner with departmental leaders to understand business challenges, define reporting requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve decision-making.

  • Identify root causes of operational and business performance issues and support corrective and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Design and implement automated reporting solutions and data visualization tools to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual effort.

  • Develop and maintain data governance standards, reporting procedures, and documentation to ensure the reliability and sustainability of business intelligence processes.

  • Support strategic planning, performance reviews, and business improvement projects through advanced analytics and performance modelling.

  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations to management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.

  • Stay current with business intelligence tools, analytics methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance organizational capabilities and support a culture of data-driven decision-making.

  • Assist with building data analytical skills and use of data tools within the organisation.

  • Complete projects as assigned

  • Comply and promote the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Food Safety and other Company policies established by the Company.

 General Requirements

  • BSc in Data/Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial or Computer Engineering, Operations Management or related quantitative field

  • At least three years post qualification working experience.

  • Experience in FMCG would be considered an asset

  • Other asset certifications would be considered an asset:

    • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate

    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

    • SQL Certification

    • Data Analytics or Business Intelligence Certifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query and advanced analytical functions.

  • Strong experience with Power BI dashboard development and data visualization.

  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Experience integrating data from multiple sources and systems.

  • Understanding of database structures, data modelling, and reporting best practices.

  • Ability to perform statistical analysis and trend forecasting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.

  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, HR, Quality, Maintenance, and HSE teams.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ability to influence decision-making through fact-based recommendations.
