The incumbent is responsible for accounting for all raw material movements, ensuring the accurate recording and timely processing of transactions through the preparation and input of all necessary journal vouchers.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

• 5 CXCs or equivalent qualification.

• One year experience in a similar capacity.

Specific Knowledge Required to Start:

• Working knowledge of inventory management principles relating to stock control, receipts, issues and transfers of products as well as FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.

• Working knowledge of warehouse operations, storage, labelling and product handling procedures.

• Working knowledge of data entry and processing in inventory management systems.

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques:

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work in accordance with instruction and to pay attention to detail.

• Good time management skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Receive raw materials and packaging materials from vendors and verify quantities, quality, and condition against delivery documents and approved Purchase Orders.

• Verify and process suppliers’ Good Receipt Notes (GRNs) to ensure accuracy before system entry.

• Accurately enter and monitor all raw material and packaging movements in A/X.

• Ensure timely recording of receipts, issues, transfers and returns.

• Issue raw materials and packaging materials to the Production Team in accordance with authorized requisitions.

• Ensure accuracy of materials issued and obtain proper documentation for all stock movements.

• Enter production theoretical returns and reconcile variances where required.

• Assist in the coordination and execution of monthly and periodic physical inventory counts.

• Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damaged inventory, and obsolete materials.

• Prepare and input journal vouchers relating to raw material movements, stock adjustments, obsolete/damaged inventory, recycled cartons, product development materials, and stock differences.

• Enter imported finished goods into A/X accurately and in a timely manner.

• Maintain proper storage conditions for raw materials and packaging materials in accordance with company policies and food safety standards.

• Ensure adequate housekeeping and organization of the raw material warehouse, including proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).

• Support compliance with AEO standards and internal audit requirements.

• Safeguard inventory by adhering to established security and access control procedures.

• Perform any other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Performance Criteria:

This job is satisfactorily performed when:

• All raw material movements are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.

• Goods Receival Notes and purchases orders are verified and checked for accuracy.

• Month-end stock count reports are summarized and inputted in a timely manner.

• Production theoretical returns and issues are entered accurately in a timely manner.

• Data entry is timely and accurately done at all times.
